Abstract This paper describes the architecture of a weather routing system consisting two key elements: onboard monitoring and route optimiser sub-systems. The former is responsible for collecting various measurements, such as current ship position or motion variables. These data, when gathered processed, are then used fine-tuning model. model, together with forecasts, utilised by multi-objective to estimate forecasted responses during voyage. has been developed in client-server reallocate all necessary high-tech resources server side keep client software simple light possible. also includes module optimising transmission costs, reduce entire solution deployed demonstrator ‘Monte da Guia’ tested its operations at sea.
